1. Public Airport Bus No. A41 and MTR

Public Airport Bus no. A41 brings you from the airport to Sha Tin Central Bus Terminal in Sha Tin. It departs every 20 minutes at the Airport Bus Terminus and subsequent interchange with MTR or taxi would be required. University Station is two stations away from Sha Tin Station on East Rail Line towards Lo Wu/Lok Ma Chau.

This is the most economical mode of transportation, charging $23.4 and $4.5 respectively for a single journey of bus and MTR. It will take around an hour and a half to get to the University

2. Taxi

A direct taxi ride from the airport to CUHK will cost around HK$300 per trip, including tolls, excluding levy for luggage and traffic. It takes approximately 35 minutes to reach CUHK. A taxi can take maximum 2-3 persons if each is carrying a piece of luggage.

3. Airport Express and MTR

The Chinese University of Hong Kong is served by the University Station on East Rail Line (Light Blue in colour). To reach University station by metro, you will have to take the Airport Express to Tsing Yi Station followed by multiple transfers of trains. You will be at the University in an hour’s time and it costs HK$85 for a single journey ticket. You can purchase the ticket from ticket booths or Airport Express counters at the airport station.
